The opposition parties attacked the Chief Minister and asked him to clarify the report.

Bhagwant Mann was removed from a Frankfurt to Delhi-bound Lufthansa flight because he was intoxicated, prompting opposition parties to say the Punjab chief minister has “embarrassed Punjabis” across the world.
On Sunday, Bhagwant Mann was to take a flight from Frankfurt at 1.40 pm, which was already late. The flight finally took off at 4.30 pm. Mr Mann reportedly took a different flight in the early hours of Monday.
Mr. Mann’s aides say he delayed his return to Delhi because of his unwell. His party AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) has accused the opposition of “spreading propaganda”.
AAP shared Lufthansa’s statement, which said its flight departed later than planned due to a “delayed flight and a flight change”.
Opposition parties confiscated reports that Mr Mann was intoxicated and that the flight was delayed by four hours.

“Surprisingly, Punjab government is silent on these reports related to its CM Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal needs to come clean on this issue. Government of India should step in as it involves Punjabi and national pride. If he is removed If so, the Indian government should take up the issue with its German counterpart.”
The Congress tweeted the news quoting a passenger on a Delhi-bound Lufthansa flight in Frankfurt that the chief minister was drunk.
The passenger is quoted as saying that Mr Mann was not stable on his feet as he had consumed excessive alcohol and had to support his wife and the security personnel accompanying him.

AAP spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang demanded an apology from Sukhbir Badal and the Congress for making “unverified” allegations. According to the state government, Mr. Mann visited Germany from September 11 to 18 to attract investments and tie-ups.
AAP had become the chief minister in March in Punjab elections, defeating rivals such as the BJP and the Congress. Mr. Mann never denied his vow to give up alcohol at a public event with his mother in 2019.
