Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has partnered with Small Industries Development Bank India (SIDBI) To expand “Mission Swavalamban” by venturing into other similar initiatives to promote entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship education for skilled youth.
SIDBI and DSEU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship as a preferred career option to aspiring youth. To help and guide aspirants to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and start their own micro-enterprises, DSEU will develop curated curriculum and launch several initiatives in partnership with SIDBI. The MoU was signed on May 31 at the DSEU campus in Delhi.
While SIDBI will facilitate through its experience in entrepreneurship promotion, credit connect and linkage with enterprise ecosystem, DSEU will provide customized entrepreneurship courses to skilled and aspiring youth to set up enterprises as per the market demand. DSEU will also provide handholding and mentorship support to youth to launch and grow their enterprises.
Speaking on the occasion, Sivasubramaniam Raman, Chairman and Managing Director, SIDBI said, “We are poised to become a strong entrepreneurial nation. To further strengthen the enterprise ecosystem of the nations, SIDBI intends to collaborate with academic/distinguished institutions/universities. Combined is to take entrepreneurship courses, which will help in creating employment. Transforming the dreams of youth into enterprises will be the mainstay of such collaboration. This structured initiative will encourage a culture of entrepreneurship. We envision such focused By attending the course, a skilled person who aspires to become an entrepreneur will gain practical experience to set up an enterprise.”
Prof. Neharika Vohra, Vice Chancellor, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University expressed happiness on signing the MoU with SIDBI and said that “This partnership with SIDBI will usher in many innovative paradigms in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. We strive to build processes and systems with the support of SIDBI to provide ease of doing business in the city to young entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs. The idea is to work on the mindset and construction agencies instead of just supporting them with a seed fund. ,
