After the first round of seat allotment the last date for fee payment for admission to undergraduate programs of Delhi University has been extended by one day i.e. till October 25. Earlier, the deadline for online payment of admission fee was October 24.
In a notification quoted by news agency PTI, Delhi University registrar Vikas Gupta said, “On the request of the candidates, and in view of the Diwali festival, the last date for payment of fees by the candidates has been extended to 02 hrs, Tuesday, October Gone. 25, 2022.”
The university has said that candidates who fail to pay the admission fee by Tuesday will not be able to participate in any subsequent Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) rounds.
The notification further said, “Only those candidates who will pay the admission fee of CSAS Round-I will get the option of upgrade.”
More than 72,800 candidates out of 80,164 have accepted the colleges and courses allotted to them Delhi University’s first round of allotment, The number of seats in DU’s colleges is 70,000, but the university has allocated additional seats in unreserved (OBC-NCL and EWS) and reserved (SC, ST and PWBD) categories, taking the number to 80,164.
The University of Delhi (DU) had on Wednesday announced the much-awaited first list of seat allotment, marking the start of the third and final phase of the admission process for undergraduate programmes.
However, only 24,000 have deposited their fees till 8 pm on Saturday, he told PTI, adding that the vacant seats will be displayed on Wednesday, October 26.
“Thereafter, the candidates who have taken admission in CSAS Round-I can opt for ‘Upgrade’ and submit their higher priorities at 10 am, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 04:59 pm, Thursday, 27 Can order again on Oct. 2022,” the university said.
In Delhi University, admission to 79 undergraduate programs across 67 colleges, departments and centers is being done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for the first time.
Till last year, admission was done through merit list based on class 12 marks, with the cut-off skyrocketing. The university used to announce seven cut-off lists every year.
