DU Admission 2022: Seat allotment update released in first list

Delhi University (DU) has announced First list of seat allotment With the names of over 80,000 candidates for admission to various undergraduate courses on Wednesday. Of these 80,000 candidates, around 50,000 have accepted the seats allotted to them by 10 am on Thursday.

“The university allotted 80,164 seats in various categories. As of 10 am on Thursday, 49,620 candidates had accepted the seats allotted to them,” said Hanit Gandhi, dean of admissions at DU.

According to news agency PTI, students have three days from October 19 to October 21 to accept the allotted seats.

The provision for acceptance of a particular allotted seat will be valid only for the round in which the seat was allotted to the candidate. Colleges will be able to verify and approve online applications from October 19 to October 22.

The first seat allotment list marks the beginning of the third and final stage of the admission process. For the first round of CSAS allotment and admission, the last date for online payment of admission fee is October 24.

The university informs that the candidates must ensure that they have secured their admission in the seat allotted to them as and when offered and only those candidates who take admission in a program in the college will be eligible for upgradation in the subsequent rounds. can choose the option.

The candidates are also advised not to rush and wait for the deadline as well.

Last month, the university started the admission process for 70,000 undergraduate seats in various constituent colleges. This year, the university is admitting students on the basis of their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores instead of their class 12 marks.

On September 12, the university released the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), its admission-cum-allocation policy.
