The seats allotted to the candidates in the second round will remain open for two days i.e. till November 1.

A total of 59,100 candidates took admission in the first round of seat allotment of Delhi University. After this the university displayed list of vacant seats For the second round on its official website.

The candidates were given two days to opt for the upgrade and re-arrange their preferences. Around 60% of them have opted to upgrade to their higher ‘Program College Combination’ preference, the university official told PTI, adding that over 25% of the 59,100 candidates have frozen their seats.

“Subject to the availability of seats, the University will declare the CSAS Round-II on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 05:00 PM. For the second round of allotment, candidates should accept the allotted seat from 10:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2022, Tuesday, November 01, till 04:59 pm,” he told PTI.

In the first round, the university allotted 80,164 seats in various categories.

The number of seats in DU’s colleges is 70,000, but the university has allotted additional seats to unreserved (OBC-NCL and EWS) and reserved (SC, ST and PWBD) categories in the first list, taking the number to 80,164. More than 72,800 candidates out of 80,164 accepted the colleges and courses allotted to them.

The university had announced that in the first round of seat allotment, each course in each college would hold 20% additional seats for candidates from unreserved categories – OBC-NCL and EWS – and also 30% in SC, ST and PWBD reserved categories.

Till last year, admission was done through merit list based on class 12 marks, with the cut-off skyrocketing. The university used to announce seven cut-off lists every year.
