DU colleges open from today for offline classes after almost two years

Colleges of Delhi University (DU) are gearing up to welcome students today as many of them will be visiting the campus for the first time after taking admission.

The university has been closed for almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is set to resume offline academic activities from Thursday.

DU colleges were closed in March 2020 in view of the pandemic. The campus is to reopen amid a drop in the number of Covid cases in the national capital. Students’ unions staged protests earlier this month demanding the reopening of the campus.

Colleges in Delhi are set to welcome students, many of whom will be first year and second year students, who have attended classes in online mode only.

Many colleges of DU are focusing on complete offline classes for senior batches.

Since the university is closed for almost two years, it takes time to prepare the hostel and hence, students may have to wait to stay in the hostel.
