trailer of DussehraThe first big Telugu film to hit the theaters this summer was unveiled in Lucknow on Tuesday evening. Written and directed by Srikanth Odella, the film starring Nani and Keerthy Suresh aims to capture the attention of audiences across India and will release on March 30 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The trailer gives a glimpse of the characters and their lives around the coal mines in Godavarikhani, Telangana. The rugged action drama is said to be inspired by real events and narrates the struggle of the people working in the coal mines. Dasara festivities like Bathukamma and burning of effigies of Ravana are part of the film’s story as per the trailer.
Santhosh Narayanan’s rustic compositions have already grabbed attention and Sathyan Suryan’s warm-tone color palette adds to the intensity of the high action drama in the trailer.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, the film also stars Tom Chacko, Dixit Shetty, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Zarina Wahab. A special set was constructed by production designer Avinash Kolla to recreate the villages near the coal mines on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
