‘Dusty Cornflakes’ served by Indian Railways in the new Vande Bharat Express

Passengers were served ‘Dusty Cornflakes’ on the newly introduced Mumbai-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express.

Indian Railways launched Vande Bharat with the aim of providing better travel experience to the passengers. With these claims, the train manages to set a benchmark for better facilities, including cleanliness, privacy and good quality of food. However, a picture of “dusty cornflakes” served to a passenger on a Vande Bharat Express train between Mumbai and Shirdi has cast doubt on claims of better service quality. The incident took place just two days after the commencement of the Mumbai and Shirdi Vande Bharat. Express on Sunday, February 12.

A Twitter user, Viresh Narkar shared his reaction about traveling in the recently launched Vande Bharat train. He posted a picture on Twitter criticizing the quality of the food being served.

The user praised the Vande Bharat Express, calling it “brilliant”, but also pointed out several shortcomings. He also offered some recommendations for issues that could be considered.

The first tweet read, “Journey to Shirdi on the Magnificent Vande Bharat Express. Some problems which can be rectified- 1) Executive class is given in the middle of the train. That’s why people of other class keep roaming around continuously and there is no privacy even after paying more money. EC should be at the front or back of the train.

“2) Since the floor is now carpeted, a Dyson vacuum cleaner should be provided instead of traditional methods of sweeping the floor. Also, the quality of food can be improved, no one likes dusty cornflakes in India,” he said in another tweet. In the tweet, he thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the official Twitter handle of Central Railway, its General Manager and tagged Ministry of Railways.

Indian Rail The team immediately responded to the complaint on Twitter with a message that read, “Your complaint has been registered on RailMadad and the complaint no. has been sent via SMS to your mobile number. Follow up to track the complaint.” A link was given for.

Other users thanked the Railways for its quick response and also appreciated the passenger for pointing out the lack of improvement.

Earlier, another passenger on the Vande Bharat train between Vizag and Hyderabad flagged the poor quality food being served on board. Along with his complaint, the passenger had shared a video of himself squeezing out a tremendous amount of oil from the deep fried vadas served on the train.
