Earth Energy EV has distributors in 10 states of India.

Mumbai-based electric vehicle (EV) start-up Earth Energy EV has received orders for over 37,000 units from its distributors across 10 states in India. The company appointed distributors in these 10 Indian states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. According to Earth Energy, the company is expected to grow rapidly over the next five years, and to meet that demand, the company also plans to expand its distributor network in a phased manner over these five years.

Earth Energy has achieved 96 per cent localization level for its model range.

Rushi Senghani, CEO and Founder, Earth Energy said, “We are focused on providing a quality offering to the passengers that is reliable with little or no downtime with regard to the availability of parts. We have achieved 96 per cent localization in this regard. All components including powertrain, structural and dynamic components etc. Over the past six months we have worked hard to establish our local vendors, supply chain and distribution network and will be available in most markets by mid-2022. Our manufacturing is being optimized and we can manufacture 46,000 vehicles per year using two production lines. We have an additional pair of two production lines which can be used as demand increases.”

Earth Energy EV has set up a 20,000 sq ft greenfield manufacturing facility in Maharashtra with an annual manufacturing capacity of 46,000 units. The company is also looking to expand to an additional 20,000 sq ft area as demand picks up. Local development and manufacturing is one of the main focus areas in Earth Energy EVs and has already achieved 96 per cent localization level with its model range. This helps in keeping the total cost of the EV under control, thereby facilitating sales growth. These vehicles are in line with all the public charging stations being set up by both government and private companies.
