The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached Jacqueline Fernandez’s assets worth Rs 7.27 crore in the extortion case against thief Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Sources exclusively told India Today that the attached assets include a fixed deposit of Rs 7.12 crore under the name of the actress.
According to sources, Chandrashekhar also gave gifts worth Rs 5.71 crore to Jacqueline Fernandez after recovering the extortion. The actress has been questioned several times by the ED regarding her alleged relationship with Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Jacqueline is not currently an accused in the case, but the investigators are yet to give her a clean chit. The Sri Lanka-born actor has been banned from leaving the country.
