And to commemorate the occasion, Honda has brought the 2022 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP with several upgrades for the new model year, while it marks the 30th anniversary. The outfit that gives a retro touch to the liter-class offering. The bike made its public debut at the 2021 EICMA motorcycle show and will make its way to India sometime next year.

2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and 30th Anniversary Edition Likely to Come to India Next Year
The 2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP retains the same 999 cc in-line four-cylinder engine and aerodynamic bodywork. However, changes have been made to the bike for more stable cornering and better corner-exit speed. The bike now has a 43-tooth rear sprocket which is topped by three teeth; New intake ports, updated airbox funnel and a revised exhaust mid-section. Power output however remains the same at 215 bhp, while the company has optimized Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for more sophisticated rear tire traction management.

In addition, the 2022 Fireblade gets a new material and surface finish on the front Nissin brake calipers pistons. This improves braking performance and consistency in race conditions. The Fireblade continues to carry the SP’s Ohlins Smart Electronic Control (SE-C) and Brembo equipment with a customized quickshifter.

30th anniversary tricolor livery pays tribute to the original 1992 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade
Coming to the 2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th Anniversary Edition, the bike gets the same specifications as the standard model. The tricolor livery is new and pays homage to the 1992 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade. The bike gets white, red and blue livery with ‘brushstroke’ style elements from the 1992 machine.
