Stating that he is in a position to explore both aspects of Hindi films, Arjun said, “The fact is that now I can do hardcore films like ‘Ek Villain 2’ on one hand and projects like ‘The’ on the other. ‘Ladykiller’ and ‘Kutti’ mean that filmmakers and producers believe that I can move forward in both the fields of films today.”
He continued, “This is what I am enjoying the most, because for the longest time, I wanted to explore a diverse spectrum of genres and finally I am getting the opportunity to do so.”
Arjun further revealed that he wanted to prove to the filmmakers that he could deliver a solid performance if given a chance and it came in the form of ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ which garnered him praise. Arjun concluded, “I will forever be indebted to this project for opening new doors for me and helping me find projects in which I can try to showcase my journey and progress as an actor.”
On the personal front, Arjun recently penned an emotional social media post in memory of his late mother Mona Shourie, who died of cancer in 2012, days before the release of her Bollywood debut ‘Ishaqzaade’.
