A day ahead of the Supreme Court’s crucial hearing on Maharashtra’s political crisis, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena faction chief whip Sunil Prabhu told the top court that the rebel group “does not deserve any relief”.
In an affidavit filed before the top court, Prabhu said that Eknath Shinde “was lured by the prospect of becoming the chief minister with the support of the BJP”, adding that the allegations leveled by the rebel group were “completely vague, bald, are naughty”
“…this Hon’ble Court must decide the question of disqualification on its own as the cumulative effect of the action/conduct of Eknath Shinde and other criminal MLAs, especially tempted by them to bring down the Shiv Sena led MVA government The prospect of becoming the Chief Minister with the support of the BJP leaves no doubt that the convicted MLAs have been disqualified under the Tenth Schedule, the affidavit said.

On June 29, the Governor of Maharashtra had ordered to prove the majority. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government will move the apex court seeking its adjournment.
Uddhav resigned after the bench refused to stay the governor’s direction to the 31-month-old MVA government to take a floor test in the assembly to prove its majority.
After Shinde was sworn in as chief minister on June 30, Prabhu pleaded in the apex court his suspension and 15 rebels on various grounds, alleging that they were acting as pawns of the BJP, thereby leading to constitutional defection. Sin is being committed.
