Several fire tenders were dispatched to the hotel to douse the fire, as well as the police helped in evacuating the people trapped inside the hotel. Some of the guests staying on the first and second floors had to jump out of their windows and were rescued by the locals. Later the injured were taken to the hospital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Condoled learning of the situation, and announced financial aid on Twitter. “Saddened by the loss of lives due to fire in Secunderabad, Telangana. Telangana Home Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali said that an inquiry has been started into the incident. Meanwhile, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari Recently said that the government is set to announce long-mandated electric vehicle battery standards within the next 2-3 months. Companies that fail to comply with these standards will have to pay heavy penalties.
