Manesar (Haryana) [India]April 18 (ANI): Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Friday that the guidelines for the electronics component construction scheme are almost ready and will be released in a few days. Addressing a press conference in Manesar, he said that a portal will also be launched soon for applications to be made under the component manufacturing scheme.

The Union Cabinet approved the electronics component manufacturing scheme in March this year, with funding of Rs 22,919 crore to make India self -sufficient in the electronics supply chain.

With various governmental initiatives, the electronics manufacturing sector has experienced a significant increase in the last decade.

India’s electronics manufacturing capacity has increased since the launch of Make in India Initiative in the press conference. India’s electronics production has increased by five times in the last decade to more than Rs 11 lakh crore.

In the last decade, the export of Rs 3.25 crore of electronics has been realized, which is growing six times.

Electronics Manufacturing Ecosystem has appointed 25 million persons, the minister said.

The minister said that a large talent for pool and intellectual property rights is working in favor of India.

“The most part of the happiest of electronics manufacturing is that this ecosystem is gradually maturing. The design capabilities are improving,” said Ashwini Vaishnav.

Regarding India’s AI server manufacturing capabilities, the minister said that VVDN Technologies have sent 6,000 such servers so far.

Talking to the convenience of VVDN technology in Manesar, he said, “Make in India Initiative has now taken a real shape.”

He said that India is not only building electronics, but those devices also need to produce those goods.

“Machines that make machines are now built in India, which is a very important point. It was unimaginable until a decade ago,” he said. (AI)
