Elon Musk defends Russell Brand after newspaper calls comedian a ‘conspiracy theorist’

Elon Musk recently defended English comedian and YouTuber Russell Brand, who was called a ‘conspiracy theorist’ by media publications. Criticism came from The Telegraph and The Independent who expressed reservations about the opinion Russell shared via his YouTube channel. In response, the comedian released a video defending his views, saying that he analyzed news articles and never claimed he was a news source. Soon after, billionaire Elon Musk tweeted that after watching Russell’s videos, he found the comedians to be more balanced than those who condemned him. He also said that the group idea among major media houses was disturbing.

“Many mainstream media companies saying @rustyrockets is crazy/dangerous, I saw some of their videos. Ironically, he seemed more balanced and practical than the condemned ones! The group idea among major media companies is more troubling. There must be more discontent.”

His comment received mixed reactions.

“I disagree with them, sometimes agree, but I don’t understand why it’s worth it for someone to be mad at themselves for thinking about it and thoughtfully questioning major narratives. Along the ride We don’t all have to come to the same conclusion to go along.”

“In the past he was consistent, but now what he says does not follow any logic. Or I am for difference in language.”

“Seriously don’t know WTF is going on, but how do you honestly think Russell Brand is a conspiracy theorist? He’s literally one of the most objective social critics out there. What’s up?”

Elon Musk was in the news recently when he challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to a fight, keeping Ukraine at stake. ‘Elon’ soon started trending on Twitter and users were trying to understand if it was a joke of a billionaire. Some have even started taking sides, trying to guess who is going to win. When asked if Elon was serious, the billionaire repeated his earlier challenge by tagging the official Twitter account of the Russian president.
