Telegram has announced many new features for its users. The social messaging app is getting features like status emoji, infinite reactions, better login flow and more. Some of these features are available to all users, while some are only available to premium members. A look at all the features coming in Telegram
emoji status
Wire Premium users will now be able to add animated emoji status to the app. This custom status will replace the premium status badges in chat lists, in profiles, and in groups. Premium users will be able to choose from seven standard statuses that change their color to match different Telegram themes – or choose from an infinite number of custom emoji.
This feature is available for premium users from today. To set an emoji status, tap the premium badge at the top of your chat list, or go to Settings to change the status. To set the position for a specific period of time, press and hold the emoji.
infinite responses
The company has redesigned the reaction panel, making it expandable. The app will also show the responses that a user frequently uses on top. Premium Telegram Premium users can choose reactions from an infinite selection of custom emoji. Users can attach up to 3 responses per message, These changes to responses are currently available in groups and 1-on-1 chats. Group administrators can control whether custom reactions can be used in their groups.
better login flow
Telegram will now send the login code via email address to logged out and frequently logged in users. Users can also sign in with Apple or sign in with Google. The company has also added new interfaces and fun animations to the Telegram iOS app.
new username link
All usernames on Telegram have their own t.me/username link, making it easy to share a public profile, group or channel anywhere on the Internet. For those who want to emphasize their name (or are having trouble finding the / key) each username will now have a new unique link format – username.t.me -.
Prioritize downloads on Android
Telegram users will now be able to press and hold any item in the list to rearrange and change their priority – downloading the top file first.
This feature is already available on iOS and is now coming to Android users.

Telegram has also added new intuitive animations for opening, closing and changing media on Android. Those with Android 13 or above can choose a thematic Telegram icon that will automatically match the phone’s dark mode settings and accent color.
