Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ordered a high-level inquiry after empty liquor bottles were found at the south-eastern end of the state assembly building on Tuesday, the second day of the winter session. When the House met for proceedings to pass bills as part of the government’s legislative business, Tejashwi took up the matter and reiterated his demand regarding the resignation of the CM.
Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary both handled the matter and praised Tejashwi for bringing the incident to the notice of the government. The Speaker even warned Tejashwi that someone could do the mischief of keeping empty liquor bottles in the premises of his official residence.
