Entry level Ola S, a new electric car launched at Rs 199,999, is also coming! – times of India

Back in August 2021, Ola Electric Launched S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters in the Indian market. The entry-level S1 was priced at Rs 99,999 and the S1 Pro was priced at Rs 1,29,999. Due to supply chain constraints, Hailstone Electric grabbed onto the entry-level S1 and preferred the S1 Pro. And now Ola has launched the S1 scooter in India at a starting price of Rs 99,999.
booking for Ola S1 has opened and customers can book the scooter before 31st August by paying Rs 499. The company said that the introductory price is applicable on limited stock and deliveries are scheduled to start from September 7, 2022.
Visually, the design and dimensions of both the S1 and S1 Pro are similar. The entry-level S1 gets a smaller 3 kWh battery pack while the S1 Pro gets a 3.96 kWh battery. The S1 Pro offers a claimed range of 181 km and the S1 gives a range of 121 km.
While both the S1 and S1 Pro have the same 8.5 kW electric motor, the top speed of these variants is different – 90 kmph for the S1 and 115 kmph for the S1 Pro. While the S1 has two riding modes namely ‘Normal’ and ‘Sports’, the S1 Pro gets an additional ‘Hyper’ riding mode, in which the scooter can touch a top speed of 115 kmph.
The S1 and S1 Pro have the same 8.5 kW electric motor and these variants have a different top speed. The top speed of the S1 Pro is 115 kmph while the top speed of the S1 is 90 kmph. While the S1 gets two riding modes of ‘Normal’ and ‘Sports’, the S1 Pro gets an additional ‘Hyper’ riding mode.
The company says that the S1 will receive all future OTA updates, including Move OS3. The updates will bring features like proximity unlocking, mood and better regeneration.
