Scam 2003, the second instalment in the Scam franchise following the blockbuster OTT hit Scam 1992, delves into the true story of stamped paper counterfeiting perpetrated by Abdul Karim Telgi in the early 2000s. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani with assistance from filmmaker Hansal Mehta, this series is inspired by Sanjay Singh’s book, Telgi Scam: Reporter’s Ki Diary. Gagan Dev Riar played the lead role in the series, and it provided an opportunity for numerous small-scale actors to deliver brilliant performances. In an exclusive interview with News18, Mohd Yusuf Khan revealed his favourite Bollywood heroes and films that served as his inspiration for pursuing acting. He expressed his admiration for veteran Bollywood actors Govinda and Anil Kapoor, naming Govinda’s Raja Babu and Anil Kapoor’s Virasat as his two all-time favourite films. He praised their performances, stating that nobody could have portrayed those roles better than them.
When asked about the performance of Scam 2003 at the box office, Khan noted that the response has been mixed. The series is divided into two parts, leaving viewers eager for its return. While it may not have garnered the same level of audience attention as its predecessor, it has sparked anticipation among viewers for its next instalment.
