Further, the airline said in an order that if the repair of aircraft parts is going to cost more than Rs 10 lakh, it has to be first approved by the Executive Director Engineering.
The order was issued by Air India Director, Finance Vinod Hejmadi after Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal said that the disinvestment exercise of the airline is likely to be completed within the next 10 weeks and till then only necessary revenue and capital expenditure will be done. should go.

The airline’s order states that “purchase of new aircraft parts” and “purchase of non-aircraft parts” – which cost more than Rs 10 lakh – to be done after the approval of “director finance or executive director finance”. needed.
“All other contracts of less than Rs 10 lakh will be issued with the approval of Regional MM (Materials Management) Head,” the order accessed by PTI said.

The airline’s order also states that “repair of aircraft components”, if its cost exceeds Rs 10 lakh, must be approved by the executive director of engineering.
“All other contracts of less than Rs 5 lakh shall be issued with the approval of the Regional Head of Engineering,” it said.
The order mentions that any purchase order or service order issued by any other department, if its cost is between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, has to be approved by the regional finance head.
“No long term contract shall be entered into by any department of Air India,” it said.
No capital expenditure exercise shall be undertaken in Air India without the approval of Director Finance or Executive Director Finance.
“In case of contract requirements, the contract will be entered into for their tenure and validity up to March 2022 only after considering the quantity in stock,” it noted.
For contracts which are due to expire soon, they can be extended till March 2022 at the same rates, terms and conditions.
