EY has collaborated with the Indian School of Business (ISB) Executive Education to launch an Executive Program on Board Effectiveness to prepare women professionals to succeed in the boardroom. The program focuses on high-potential women leaders who prepare them for effective presence as new or first-time directors on the board by providing them with mentorship and networking opportunities.
The program consists of 10 virtual sessions spread over five weeks with two sessions per week. The limited batch size of 25 participants will ensure that the modules are delivered in a high quality manner. The cost of the program and course material is included in the GST program fee over Rs 2,50,000.

The Companies Act 2013 mandates at least one woman director on the board. According to a recent report by Credit Suisse, women in India held 17.3 per cent of board positions, compared to 24 per cent globally.
The program will follow a selection process based on the professional role and success of each applicant. Several factors will be considered, including people management and leadership abilities, quality and quantity of work experience, evidence of professional success, motivation to participate in the program and the ability to benefit from it, and the ability to deal with rigors. Program.

This will introduce them to the broad regulatory, industry and financial dynamics that influence board decisions and provide them networking opportunities with a diverse and skilled peer group, says EY.
