Safety cars or pace cars, as they are called, are vehicles that restrict the speed of the participating motorcycles or cars on the racetrack, for one. caution period, if there is bad weather or track blockage. The objective here is to ensure proper clearance of said obstruction under safe conditions for marshals or to wait for better conditions. During this caution period, the safety car hits the track before the participating F1 race leader. F1 has officially got two safety cars this season. Aston Martin will provide medical and safety cars for the championship with Mercedes changing the AMG car paint from red to silver. Aston Martin returns to the circuit for the first time in nearly sixty years, showcasing its DBX medical car and Vantage safety car. The Vantage safety car comes with a twin-turbo 4.0 liter V8 engine that accelerates to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and several aero and suspension modifications have been done.

The DBX Medical car can accelerate to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, making 550 PS and 700 Nm of maximum torque. There is a burn kit, defibrillator, fire extinguisher and other equipment for the vehicle.
