The ministry was informed that the OTT sites only provide a platform for carrying news and current affairs content of third parties of news channels on an “as-is-basis” without editorial intervention, and that the OTT sites are not engaged in any aggregation or The aggregation of news and current affairs content provided by such channels is not included.

OTT simply hosts news feeds provided by entities similar to DTH (direct-to-home) or cable service providers.
