Ferrari 296 GTS
The 120° V6 has a total displacement of 2,992cc which makes 663 horsepower at 8,500rpm. It is paired with a 7.45 kWh high voltage battery to produce a maximum horsepower of 830cv (hybrid). All of this power is transmitted through Ferrari’s F1 dual-clutch transmission (DCT). While electronic aids like ABS EVO, 6W-CDS, high-performance EBD with energy recovery, etc. keep the vehicle and driver under control.

The GTS is the first Spyder variant to feature a rear-wheel-drive plug-in (PHEV) hybrid architecture. The ICE engine is integrated with a rear-mounted electric motor. A transition manager actuator (TMA) enables both power units to communicate allowing them to be used in hybrid or stand-alone mode.

The 296 GTB chassis was redesigned for the GTS Spyder for better torsional stiffness and beam stiffness. As a result, Ferrari has optimized the GTS chassis for 8 percent more stiffness and rigidity than the GTB. The convertible also marks the debut of Ferrari’s ‘T Tre’. A signature aero-device in the front bumper generates downforce and increases airflow.
Ferrari 296 GTS Cockpit
In the cockpit, the GTS shares the full digital interface that comes with the GTB. Most of the equipment is centered on the driver’s side, with two semi-touchscreens, one on the passenger’s side. Ferrari has also developed a track version of the GTS, called the Assetto Fiorano. Named after Ferrari’s own Fiorano circuit. The Fiorano package includes significant weight reduction and additional aero features. It gets multimatic shock absorbers and carbon fiber components on both the exterior and interior of the sportscar. It also comes in a special 250 Le Mans inspired outfit. Ferrari claims the Assetto Fiorano is 8kg lighter than the standard 296 GTS.
