FIA President Mohamed Ben Sulayem has revealed that the new FIA structure he presides is not complete. He believes the FIA needs to go on a hiring spree. “I didn’t get rid of Michael. It’s not like we said it was Masi’s end with the FIA. I don’t do that kind of thing,” he said.
“I don’t have a personal issue. A good place to use. We are open to everything,” Sulayem hinted that he could be used in the future, perhaps as a third race director.
Michael Massi was the FIA Race Director for F1 between 2019 and 2021.
Massey has also independently indicated that he would be ready for the role of FIA race director if he were offered it, reports SportsMail.
