Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 16 May appealed to those who have received appointment letters under the latest job fair to inform people about the benefits of the scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented 71 thousand appointment letters today For newly recruited recruits in government departments and organizations across the country.
Ms Sitharaman, after presenting job offers to around 250 people at an event in Chennai, said the job fair is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to job creation.

The Union Minister presented appointment orders to new recruits from various ministries and departments, including the Department of Posts, Railways, Health and Family Welfare, Petroleum and Defence.
“Go for it [Rozgar Mela scheme] Everyone outside your family and tell them to move on in their lives…,” Ms Sitharaman said during her brief interaction with some of the new recruits.
He said that the job fair acts as a catalyst for more employment opportunities, empowering the youth and enabling their active participation in national development.
During the event, Ms. Sitharaman also clicked selfies with the beneficiaries.
The new recruits, selected from across the country, will work in various other positions including Train Manager, Station Master and Senior Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk.
They will get a chance to train themselves through ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’, which is an online orientation course for all new recruits in various government departments.
