Fire at Impoundment Lot in Karachi burns unclaimed vehicles – Henry’s Club

A fire broke out in the impoundment lot of a vehicle – commonly known as Nazareth Several vehicles were burnt in the process near Aziz Bhatti Park in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighborhood on Sunday.

Established in 1992, the centralized vehicle pool helps people locate their recovered vehicles at a single place instead of having to visit different police stations. Unclaimed vehicles or those that are confiscated due to lack of registration documents are given to the authorities superdari (Guardian).

A statement issued by the Aziz Bhatti police station said officers and firefighters were present at the scene while the latter was being extinguished.

No casualties have been reported and further investigation is on, the statement said.

Later, a fire control room official said on condition of anonymity don.com That six fire tenders were successful in dousing the fire. He said that two fire tenders are still present at the spot to carry out the cooling work.

Firefighters said the old vehicles were parked without any proper care or supervision, leaving bushes and bushes in the area. He said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Officials are yet to say the number of vehicles damaged in the fire.

According to radio pakistanSindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took cognizance of the fire and ordered Karachi Commissioner Mohammad Iqbal Memon to submit a detailed report on the incident and the damage caused.
