First Mobile Photography Exhibition inaugurated by Sanjay Bhattacharya at Bikaner House, Main Building, New Delhi 9 September 2022, The exhibition began with the lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and Padma Shri Shovana Narayan. Artist Sanjay Bhattacharya got all his clicks from his mobile phone camera for the amazing show. An incredible example of the art of mobile photography, the event started at 6:00 pm and left everyone hypnotized. Sanjay Bhattacharya himself showed all his work to actress Sharmila Tagore and earned praise. His work was highly appreciated by the people present.

The exhibition will be moved to a gallery on September 14 and will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. From Prithvi Arts & Cultural Centre, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi, 16 September 2022 to 30 September 2022

Sanjay Bhattacharya came up with four different sections for the exhibition; Some were shots of the shadows of his hands in mystic lights while others were clicks of his distorted shadows or his reflections on various elements. Some are outdoor photography shots and the final set includes interiors.

Guests who visited the exhibition included Padmashree Shovana Narayan, actor Sharmila Tagore, Maneka Gandhi Lok Sabha MP, artist Kanchan Chander, gallery owner Prithvi Fine Arts and Cultural Center – Sangeeta Gupta, educationist Alka Kapoor, singer Dr. Meenu Bakshi, artist Sridhar. Iyer, artist Sudip Roy, gallerist Payal Kapoor, founder Ashvika Foundation Shama Soni, classical singer Meeta Pandit to name a few.

Sanjay Bhattacharya was born in 1958 in Calcutta. He has participated in some national and international art events and workshops and also collaborated with many other artists. His work can also be seen in important public and private collections in India and abroad. He also painted portraits of two former Indian Presidents, Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma and Shri KR Narayan.

Sanjay Bhattacharya said a few lines before the closing ceremony of his inauguration ceremony. He said, “I am very obliged to see such a warm welcome to my first mobile photography in the city. Since I started my second tangent in 2017, it is a great opportunity to follow the freedom of passion I have gained over the years. It was a new experiment for the year. Now, after seeing so much success and love I have received from people, I have so much more to offer.”
