A new feature has been introduced for some of these Fitbit Smartwatch and fitness tracker. called the daily preparation scoreWith this feature, the user will be able to tell whether their body is ready for workout or not and whether they should exercise on a particular day or not. This feature was announced in August this year
The Daily Readiness Score is an amalgamation of three components: your recent sleep score, heart rate variability (HRV) and daily activity that is measured through your Fitbit device when worn on a daily basis. “Calculated during your deep sleep, HRV is a great measure of recovery. A higher HRV is better, meaning your body can transition more easily to rest and back to activity. Sometimes stress “Exercise, exertion or disease onset can lower your HRV and affect your readiness to exercise,” the company says.
These three components will be measured against your baseline and as your fitness level increases, the scores will adjust accordingly.
You’ll get an individual score each morning, which will suggest recommended activity levels for that day. The idea is to help the fitness enthusiast in you (if you’ve already become one) realize that putting in large amounts of effort each day can lead to injury.
If you get a high score, it means that one workout is recommended that day. Conversely, if you get low marks, it means you need rest.
According to the company, the Daily Readiness Score will be available in the Fitbit app for premium members fitbit sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Charge 5, Lux and Inspire 2 devices.
