Foreign students of Lucknow University got alumni card (file photo)
The cards were given at the farewell ceremony held at the Regional Office of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on Wednesday evening.
For the first time, around 21 foreign students of Lucknow University have been given Indian Alumni Cards as part of an initiative taken by ICCR, so that graduate students have a sense of belonging and bond with the country wherever they go.
“Alumni Card provided to 2022 batch of foreign students who studied at LU under ICCR fellowship. This is a unique initiative of ICCR to establish cultural bonds with scholars spread across the globe. This initiative will add to the global connection and strengthen the mission of universal peace and harmony,” said LU spokesperson.

The cards were given at a farewell ceremony held at the regional office of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on Wednesday evening.
Regional Director Arvind Kumar said: “From this year, ICCR has decided to organize a farewell ceremony for ICCR scholars who will be completing their studies. The purpose of this event is not only to bid farewell to the students but also to strengthen the bond. This is an important step towards our cultural diplomacy.”
