Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy arrested in mining scam

The Nellore district police on Sunday arrested YSRCP leader and former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy for his alleged involvement in the mining scam that had taken place during the YSRCP government’s term.

Mr. Govardhan Reddy had been absconding for the last two months, forcing the police to constitute special teams to nab him.

A special police team took the former Minister into custody in Karnataka and brought him to Nellore, a police officer said.
