Former SBI chief Pratip Chaudhary has got bail
Former State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Pratip Choudhary, who was arrested for allegedly fraudulently selling a hotel, was granted bail by a Jaisalmer court on Tuesday.
Mr Choudhary was sent to 14-day judicial custody on November 1 for selling the hotel.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit granted him bail.
The former SBI chief was arrested on October 31 from his residence in Delhi in a Jaisalmer hotel loan case.
A case was registered against Mr Choudhary in 2015 in a debt settlement case for confiscation of hotel property and fraudulently selling it at undervalued.
Police had said that Mr. Choudhary became a director on the board of the company that bought the hotel.
