Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Jayamangala Venkataraman on February 16 (Thursday) joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in the presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Shri Venkatraman won from Kaikalur assembly constituency in 2009 on TDP ticket. He lost to Dulam Nageswara Rao of YSRCP in the 2019 election.
Before switching his allegiance to the YSRCP, Mr. Venkatraman was the constituency in-charge of the TDP. He had resigned from TDP membership and constituency in-charge on February 15 (Wednesday).
TDP farmers wing state leader S. Gurraju also joined YSRCP. Civil Supplies Minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao and MLA Dulam Nageswara Rao were present on the occasion.
