Four persons including two children of a family of Toli Chowki in Hyderabad died on the spot when they were traveling uncontrollably and crashed in the middle of NH-44 highway in Nizamabad district limits.
There were six people in the car – two adults and four children – at the time of the accident at around 6.30 am.
Mupkal police said the family was a resident of Toli Chowki area of Hyderabad and was going to Nirmal. The details of the victims are being collected.
Initially, the police suspect that the driver fell asleep at the wheel as the car went out of control. The car, when it reached Kothapalli village limits on the highway, first crashed in the middle and overturned several times before hitting the railing on the side.
It is being told that both the survivors have suffered serious injuries. Police have admitted the victims to a nearby hospital for emergency care.
The Mukkal police have started investigation.
