Vettel won all four of his championships with Red Bull, all coming consecutively from 2010 to 2013, placing him third on the list of all-time major Formula 1 World Championship winners on a tie with Alain Prost. At the age of just 23 years and 134 days, Sebastian Vettel was the youngest F1 Drivers’ Champion in 2010, and continues to hold on to the title after more than a decade.
He is third on the all-time list of Grand Prix winners with 53 wins. Unfortunately, the German has made just one podium during his tenure at Aston Martin, where his contract expires at the end of 2022. The news comes ahead of the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix, in which Vettel is currently 14th on the table with 15 points.

“The decision to retire has been a difficult decision for me, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about it; At the end of the year I’d like to take some more time to reflect on what I’ll be focusing on next; It is very clear to me that, being a father, I want to spend more time with my family. But today is not a matter of saying goodbye. Rather, it is about saying thanks – to everyone – at least the fans, without whose passionate support Formula 1 could not exist. ,
Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll said: “I want to thank Sebastian from the bottom of my heart for the great work he has done for Aston Martin over the past year and a half. We made it clear to him that we want him to do so next year. Stayed with us, but in the end he did what he thought was right for himself and his family, and of course we respect that.”
“He will continue to race for us until the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will be his 300th Grand Prix entry. We will give him a wonderful farewell,” Stroll said. Vettel’s departure at the end of the season leaves a huge gap in the Aston Martin team. and it remains to be seen whether they will sign an existing experienced Formula 1 driver from a different team, or go with a new driver to fill the spot.
