French Ambassador meets Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister

French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenin on Friday met Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy met.

Mr. Lenin, who is on a two-day visit to Puducherry, met the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister in his chamber at the Raj Niwas.

The Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister discussed with the Ambassador ways to further strengthen the special relationship between France and the Union Territory.

The Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister expressed keen interest in collaborating with France in heritage conservation, tourism promotion and industrial development. The government also expressed interest in collaborating with France in rural development.

During his visit, the ambassador participated in cultural events organized as part of the second edition of the French Rendezvous. On Thursday evening, he participated in ‘Analemma’, a modern circus performance by Puducherry-based company Distill.

He also participated in the global music project ‘Orchestra of Samples’ by audiovisual artists Addictive TV at Gandhi Thidal. The Ambassador addressed a gathering of Directors and Presidents of 14 Alliance Franchise Centers in India.
