Petrol and diesel prices touch new highs across India
Domestic fuel rates have been increased for the third consecutive day across the country. With the latest price hike, petrol and diesel have touched new all-time highs. According to the details listed on the official website of IndianOil, petrol prices in Delhi increased by 25 paise to Rs 102.14 per liter from Rs 101.89 per liter, while diesel was hiked by 30 paise to Rs 90.47 per litre. Petrol became costlier by 24 paise in the financial capital Mumbai, which increased from Rs 107.95 to Rs 108.19 per liter, while diesel is now selling at Rs 98.16 per liter after increasing by 32 paise.

Petrol in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district has crossed the Rs 114 mark, which is currently priced at Rs 114.08 per litre.

Customers in Kolkata will now have to pay ₹102.77 per liter and ₹93.57 per liter for petrol and diesel respectively. Petrol rates in Chennai increased to Rs 99.80 per liter, while the retail price of diesel went up to Rs 95.02 per litre. Petrol in Bengaluru costs Rs 105.69 per liter, while diesel costs Rs 96.02 per litre.
Fuel prices remain the most expensive in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district, where petrol has crossed the ₹114-mark as it sells at ₹114.08 per litre. At the same time, diesel has become Rs 104.32 per liter. Petrol prices in Rewa and Anuppur districts of Madhya Pradesh touched ₹113.04 per liter and ₹113.44 per liter respectively on Saturday. However, diesel sells for ₹101.65 per liter and ₹102.02 per liter respectively. Customers in Parbhani district of Maharashtra will now have to pay ₹ 110.75 per liter and ₹ 99.13 per liter respectively for petrol and diesel.
Fuel prices vary from state to state, depending on the VAT levied by the state government.
