It is common for dogs and cats to roam freely at railway stations and bus stands. Recently, a cat was appointed as the honorary station master of a Taiwan subway station, much to the delight of animal lovers.
According to taiwan newsThe Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit, a metro network covering the metropolitan area of Kaohsiung with 37 stations, celebrated its 15th anniversary on 4 April. Mikan was promoted to the rank of Honorary ‘Station Master’.
Notably, Mikan has been around the metro station area for a long time and is familiar to commuters and railway officials. Over the years, Mikan has achieved celebrity status on social media platforms and has an Instagram handle with over 59,000 followers.
