According to a report by digital asset manager CoinShares, global digital asset funds registered a total net inflow of $474 million during July (as of July 29), the highest this year, despite volatility in the cryptocurrency market.
The crypto fund recovered almost all of its June month outflows, totaling $481 million.
Despite a more bullish mood in the digital asset, trading activity remained modest, with last week’s volume at $1.3 billion, compared to this year’s weekly average of $2.4 billion.
Nevertheless, July was a good month for crypto assets, as Bitcoin recovered around 15% during the month and Ethereum gained around 50%.
According to CoinShares, crypto funds saw a total inflow of $81 million last week, up from a total of $0.53 billion, or 1.6% of the total assets under management (AUM) for the fifth week in a row.
Regionally, the majority of inflows were from North America, with total inflows from both the US and Canada totaling $15m and $67 million, respectively. Minor outflows were observed in both Brazil and Sweden.
Bitcoin saw a total inflow of $85 million last week, while short-bitcoin (a stipulation that the price will continue to drop) saw a total outflow of $2.6 million, five weeks into the first week of outflows after the recent bear market. inflow was observed.
Multi-asset investment products, unusually, saw total outflows of $3.7 million for the second week in a row, indicating that investors are becoming more targeted in their investments.
Solana saw modest total inflows of $1.5 million, making it the investor favorite for the year, with year-over-year total inflows of $114 million. Polkadot also saw a total inflow of $0.4 million last week.
In terms of individual crypto fund providers, Grayscale, the world’s largest digital asset manager, had a total AUM of $21.46 billion, followed by CoinShares at $2.11 billion and 21Shares with an AUM of $1.15 billion.
