According to HDFC Securities, gold prices fell by Rs 120 to Rs 60,580 per 10 grams in the national capital on May 22 amid a weak global trend.
In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 60,700 per 10 grams.
Silver also declined by Rs 500 to Rs 73,600 per kg.
HDFC Securities Senior Analyst – Commodities Saumil Gandhi said, “Gold was trading at Rs 60,580 per 10 grams, up Rs 120 per 10 grams in Delhi markets.”
In the international market, both gold and silver were trading lower at $1,978 an ounce and $23.87 an ounce, respectively.
Sriram Iyer, Senior Research Analyst, Reliance Securities said, “COMEX gold was trading lower in Asian trading hours on May 22 as markets struggled for direction and traders awaited updates from US debt ceiling talks. “
