Gold fell by Rs 82; Silver fell by Rs 208

According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 82 to Rs 48,246 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday due to weak international precious metal prices and a strengthening rupee. In the previous trade, this precious metal had closed at Rs 48,328 per 10 grams.

Silver also declined by Rs 208 to Rs 65,594 per kg from Rs 65,802 per kg in the previous trade.

The rupee rose 12 paise to 74.33 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday. In the international market, gold is trading at $ 1,862 an ounce and silver is flat at $ 25.18 an ounce.
