Gold slips ₹53; Silver falls by ₹256

Gold was trading with a fall in the international market.

According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 53 to Rs 52,340 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday amid a fall in international precious metal prices and a firming rupee.

In the previous trade, the yellow metal had closed at ₹ 52,393 per 10 grams.

Silver also declined by ₹256 to ₹57,957 per kg from ₹58,213 per kg in the previous trade.

The rupee rose 44 paise to 79.30 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday mainly on account of foreign fund inflows.

In the international market, gold was trading at $1,772 an ounce while silver was flat at $19.96 an ounce.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “Gold prices have kept a stable trading range on mixed global cues and a strong dollar.
