Gold up by ₹50; Silver up by ₹140

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices rose by Rs 50 to Rs 56,307 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday amid a rise in the precious metal globally.

In the previous trade, the yellow metal had closed at Rs 56,257 per 10 grams.

Silver also increased by Rs 140 to Rs 65,770 per kg.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst – Commodities, Saumil Gandhi said, “Gold price in Delhi is trading at ₹56,307 per 10 grams, up ₹50 per 10 grams.”

In the overseas market, gold and silver were trading higher at $1,845 an ounce and $21.82 an ounce, respectively.

Sriram Iyer, Senior Research Analyst, Reliance Securities, said international gold recovered from morning’s low in Asian trading hours on Monday. “The focus will be on the minutes of the FOMC meeting and speeches by Fed officials,” he added.
