‘Good Omens’ Season 2 premieres July 28 on Amazon Prime Video

fantasy comedy series season 2 good omens is set to premiere on July 28 on Amazon Prime Video. The series, written by Neil Gaiman, is based on the novel of the same name by Terry Patchett.

The second season, consisting of six episodes, explores stories that go beyond the original source material to uncover the unique friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare bookseller, and the quick-tempered demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since the beginning, and with the Apocalypse having failed, Aziraphale and Crowley are beginning to live at ease among mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising secret.

good omens season 2 Michael Sheen and David Tennant starred as the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley, respectively. Also reprising their roles are Jon Hamm as Archangel Gabriel, Dunn McKeechan as Archangel Michael, and Gloria Obianyo as Archangel Uriel.

New roles this season include Miranda Richardson as Maggie Service, and Nina Sosania as Nina, with new faces joining the Misfits in Heaven and Hell: Liz Carr as Angel Saracel, Quellin Sepulveda as Angel as Muriel, and Shelley Cohn as the devil Beelzebub.

Neil Gaiman continues as executive producer and co-showrunner, along with executive producer Douglas McKinnon, who also returned to direct all six episodes. The new season is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios Productions, The Blank Corporation and Narrativia.
