Google is shutting down the Android Auto app on your smartphone: what now?

Google has decided to shut down Android auto Feature for smartphone screen. The company has not given an exact date for its closure but the end is near and users are advised to look into options to replace the now popular service.

Google has a habit of discontinuing products without giving any reason, but in this case, the company is probably relying on people moving to cars that come preloaded with Android Auto. Having said that, we’re not surprised by the decision, and Google is hinting that Android Auto will soon be moving away from your phone’s screen.

Android 12 became the first version to come without Android Auto preloaded on a smartphone. Now, Google is giving the same treatment to the Android 11 version, which according to the latest report is the most popular Android OS on phones in the market. People trying to use Android Auto on Android 11 phones are seeing this message, “Android Auto for phone screen will soon stop working.”

So what happens now that Android Auto is not available on smartphones? Google says that people who have purchased a car with Android Auto support can continue to use the service.
