According to the report, a memo circulated by Google’s leadership said that employees had until December 3 to declare their vaccination status and upload documents showing evidence or apply for medical or religious exemptions.

After that date, Google said it would begin contacting employees who did not upload their status or were not vaccinated and whose waiver requests were not approved, CNBC reported.

Employees who have not complied with vaccination rules by January 18 will be placed on “paid administrative leave” for 30 days, CNBC reported, followed by up to six months of “unpaid personal leave” and termination.

Google did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
