Google Previewed picture-in-picture (PIP) feature for the desktop version of Google Meet chrome And the feature is finally becoming available to a select group of Google Account users.
The search engine giant has officially confirmed the rollout of the new PiP for Meet on desktop with the ability to pin multiple video feeds via an official blog post.
According to the blog post, the feature is a Fast release and will be available to all google workspace A little over the next 15 days for customers as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers as well as personal Google Account users.
Also, this feature will be available by default and does not require any admin controls.
The post also notes that the PiP feature on Google Meet Web via Chrome will allow users to view up to four video tiles from meeting participants at once in a popup window. Plus, like any other PiP mode, users can move and resize the popup window at their convenience.
To enable PIP mode while taking a Google Meet call on the web, users can click on the three dots next to the Hangup button at the bottom and then click on the option ‘Open picture-in-picture’.
Additionally, users can now also pin multiple video feeds at once, allowing them to combine content and people as they wish.
Meanwhile, Google has also added some other features to Google Meet including automatically removing the echo, removing the user from the call, and more.
