Google Workspace Personal plan storage increased from 15GB to 1TB: All the details

Google is now providing a better experience for individual users of Workspace to help users grow their business, communicate and collaborate more effectively.

Google will soon upgrade the storage from 15GB to 1TB for all of its Workspace Personal users. Google said that users don’t have to try to take advantage of the increased storage, as once Google rolls out the feature, users will be automatically increased by 1TB of storage.

“You can store more than 100 file types in Drive, including PDF, CAD files and images, and you can easily collaborate and edit Microsoft Office files without converting them,” Google said. Google added “The disk comes with built-in protection against malware, spam, and ransomware, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally opening the door to malware by just opening a document.”

Google has also introduced built-in Mail Merge to allow for email personalization, which lets users mail multiple users at once without compromising on their privacy.

According to Google, you can now include mail merge tags in multiple-send emails, such as @firstname, to give each recipient the impression that their particular email was created specifically for them. The unsubscribe link is automatically included in multiple-send emails so that recipients can choose not to receive more messages.

Workspace Personal will be launched in more countries including the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece and Argentina. New users can take advantage of the 14-day trial to test out the service before fully committing.
