Greta Harper ZX Series-I electric scooter is offered in five color options

Gujarat based Electric Vehicle (EV) start-up Greta Electric Scooters has announced the launch of Greta Harper ZX Series-i electric scooter. The electric scooter is offered with a unique payment plan where customers can choose the battery and charger to suit their usage to fit the scooter at the best price. The base price of Greta Harper ZX Series-I scooter is Rs 41,999 (ex-showroom). Greta Harper ZX Series-i comes with charger technology that gives full charge in 5 hours and 80 percent charge in 3 hours.

The Greta Harper ZX Series-I Electric Scooter is offered in 48-60 V battery options and a choice of different chargers. Customers can pay the price of the scooter according to the battery and charger type chosen.

The scooter is powered by a BLDC motor and works with a 48-60V Li-ion battery variant. Customers can choose from a range of batteries offering a range of 60km to 100km with varying voltages, and will be priced from ₹17,000 to ₹31,000. Depending on the customer’s preference, the charger will cost from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000, the company announced. Carandbike reached out to Greta Electric Scooters for more details on the electric scooter’s performance, top speed and acceleration, but has yet to hear back with details.

The maximum claimed range on a single charge is 100 km, though the company has not revealed the top speed.

Greta Harper ZX Series-i comes with three speed drive modes, reverse mode, LED digital instrument cluster display and keyless start. Additional features include cruise control, wireless controller, highway lights, side indicator buzzer and LED meter with trip re-set. Safety features include ignition/child lock, park mode, fixed reverse speed limit, improved cell shock absorbers and IP65 grade water proofing on the Greta ZX Series-I. The scooter rides on 10-inch wheels, with telescopic front forks, rear cell shock absorbers and hydraulic disc brakes at the front along with drum brakes at the rear.

Greta Electric Scooters is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raj Electromotives Pvt Ltd. Ltd., and was established in 2019 by Raj Mehta, the youngest founder of an automotive company. Raj Electromotives, now Raj Electromotives Pvt. Ltd., the first venture of Raj Mehta, was established in 2015 at the tender age of 14 years. The company offers pedal-operated cycles, pedal rickshaws (passenger and commercial), tricycles for the disabled and conversion kits for converting bikes (India’s first retro-fitment kit) to electric.

The pre-booking of the electric scooter has been announced at Greta Experience Studios, with a pre-booking offer of Rs 2,000 and an effective price of Rs 39,999. The company says that the electric scooters will be delivered to the customers within 45-75 days as per the booking order.
